Aimee L. McCarthy is an account manager at VPMEP's Richmond office. She provides business and technical assistance to Virginia's manufacturers. Aimee is Lean Six Sigma^SM black belt certified and has over 25 years experience in the manufacturing and service industries, in the areas of quality and tech service engineering, product and process development, international business development, strategic planning, and organizational development. Prior to joining VPMEP, she was a Financial Services Manager for the Haywood Clarke Automotive Group. Previously, she served as Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and Instructor of Engineering at the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Engineering, International Business Development Representative for Albright & Wilson Americas, Marketing Manager for the Metro Economic Development Council, and spent 15 years in progressively responsible positions with DuPont. She holds an MBA from the University of Richmond and a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Vanderbilt University. Her professional affiliations include American Institute of Chemical Engineers, Society of Women Engineers, and Virginia Economic Developers Association.
