Aimee L. McCarthy is the sales manager at VPMEP's Richmond office. She provides business and technical assistance to Virginia 's manufacturers. She has over 25 years experience in the manufacturing and service industries, in the areas of quality and tech service engineering, product and process development, international business development, strategic planning, and organizational development.  Prior to joining VPMEP, she was a Financial Services Manager for the Haywood Clarke Automotive Group. Previously, she served as Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and Instructor of Engineering at the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Engineering , International Business Development Representative for Albright & Wilson Americas , Marketing Manager for the Metro Economic Development Council, and spent 15 years in progressively responsible positions with DuPont. She holds an MBA from the University of Richmond and a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and completed Basic Economic Development at the University of Kentucky .
