Creative Urethanes, Inc. (CU) has literally built its reputation from the ground up. The company was the first manufacturer of polyurethane roller skate and skateboard wheels. The Situation

"ISO 9002 certification is all we need to say in most cases to address this topic, and VPMEP's team made our certification journey challenging and effective."

The Response
VPMEP Project Managers Michael Levy and Bob Schwabik facilitated the process, helping the company work through the ISO 9002 standards, a move Phillips says gave the company intense ownership of their quality system.

The Results
Bottom line benefits are evident. CU has been able to cut their reject rate in half, resulting in savings of about $150,000. But Phillips says that is only a small part of the benefits of this quality system. "We can now tackle the largest potential jobs with the most sophisticated customers with confidence and follow through with commitments at all levels," said Phillips.
