Jerry Robertson is the executive director of VPMEP's partner in the Tidewater area, the Virginia Applied Technology & Professional Development Center (VATPDC) of Old Dominion University. He brings to VATPDC a diverse background in engineering, manufacturing, research and development, and academia. Jerry comes to VATPDC from ODU's College of Engineering and Technology where he served as Resident Engineer for the college overseeing research support operations. He has collaborated with VATPDC since its inception and has worked on many of its projects over the years. He came to Old Dominion University in 1981 after 10 years in manufacturing. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia and is a Certified Manufacturing Engineer by the SME. Jerry is currently the vice-chairman of Norfolk's Economic Development Authority.
