Principles
of Lean
This introductory program includes hands-on, interactive
simulations available through a variety of workshops applicable
to various manufacturing and industrial
settings such as high volume manufacturing, job shops and process
industries. These simulations showcase the benefits of Lean principles
in comparison to traditional manufacturing processes.
Value Stream Mapping
This visually maps a process flow, including both materials and
information, from supplier to customer. Value Stream Mapping can
serve as a starting point to help management recognize waste and
identify its causes. The result of this process
is a 'future state' blueprint, which often serves as the strategic
foundation of other Lean improvements.
Visual Workplace organization (5S)
5S is a method used to improve workplace safety, reduce waste, simplify
work processes, improve equipment maintenance and trouble-shoot
to ensure process quality.
Standardized Work
Applying the concept of Standardized Work, which is the difference
between random process methods and a standardized approach, is one
of the best ways to improve an operation or processing step.
Kanban Systems
Kanban incorporates visual signals to improve process efficiency
through reduction of cycle times and inventory. Kanban tools improve
customer delivery performance.
Cellular Flow
Through the arrangement of people and equipment into efficient,
process-based cells, cellular processing creates a smooth flow that
shortens the lead time for delivery while supporting low inventory
production, space saving and continuous improvement.
Set-Up Reduction
This system emphasizes decreasing changeover time resulting in improved
machine or worker based uptime and product quality, while reducing
work-in-process inventory, lead times and cycle times, and allowing
for smaller batch sizes.
Total Productive Maintenance
Total Productive Maintenance is a production-driven improvement
methodology that optimizes equipment reliability and ensures efficient
management of plant assets through the use of employee involvement
and empowerment, linking manufacturing, maintenance and engineering.
Lean Supply chain Management
Our supplier Lean Integration Management process is a modular approach
to rapidly develop and deliver solutions that extend the value stream
improvements to improve overall performance, reduce costs and improve
profitability.
Kaizen Facilitation Training
This type of training fosters a cadre of skilled, Kaizen event facilitators
or leaders to aid in developing effective policies and practices.
Participants help their fellow workers become more knowledgeable
in identifying waste and to practice those skills necessary to implement
and sustain improvements. |
