Tom Zbell is a project manager based in VPMEP's Richmond office. Tom also serves as VPMEP's practice manager for Lean Enterprise. He is certified by NIST MEP (National Institute of Standards and Technology MEP) to deliver lean manufacturing techniques. Most recently, Tom has been developing the new Principles of Lean Office and Administration product. Tom has almost 30 years of manufacturing experience leading to consulting expertise in areas such as process engineering, environmental health and safety, plant maintenance supervision, finishing, and tooling. Other experience included the precision bearing and nuclear shipbuilding industries. Tom has an Associate in Science in Manufacturing Engineering from Waterbury State Technical College, a Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering from Utah State University, and a Master of Science in Organizational Management from Central Connecticut State University.
